Siips
Siips is a unique Wine and Champagne Bar & Bistro offering over 75 wines and champagnes by the glass nightly. Siips is the creation of George Benford, who has traveled around the world taking notes about various wine bars and developing an atmosphere for wine lovers and wine enthusiasts. "Far too often one goes to a restaurant or bar and can only purchase less than spectacular wines by the glass. People are forced to buy bottles of wine in order to have a decent wine." Siips offers outstanding wines such as Jordan, Cakebread, ZD, Moet and others by the glass and at reasonable prices.
Siips offers a $6.95 lunch Monday - Friday 11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., light fare from from 3-5 p.m. and dinner form 5-9 p.m. Saturday Siips offers brunch from 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m., light fare from 3-4 p.m., followed by dinner until 10:00 p.m. Sunday brunch is served from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., light fare from 3-4 p.m., followed by dinner until 9:00 p.m. Light fare and dessert are served until closing every evening. Friday and Saturday evenings enjoy great entertainment from 9-11 p.m. On Sunday Siips offers half price wine selections previously opened on Friday or Saturday evening (while supplies lasts).
Siips opened its doors on December 26, 2007 and has already been hailed one of Charlottesville's most attractive and relaxing locations. Siips has seating for up to 118 people and takes reservations for parties of 6 or more.

Whether you're seeking the proverbial "wine and cheese" or the full dining experience, we aim to provide it for you here at Siips Wine Bar & Bistro. Our goal is to increase our customers' appreciation for quality wine and food in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. We aim to do this through providing unique interactive events such as Wine Dinners and Wine Seminars, as well as by employing only the staff most dedicated to enhancing your experience at Siips. We aim to introduce new wines and Champagnes from all regions of the world as often as possible, and we will make them readily available to our customers for both on and off-premise consumption.

Drink Specials
Everyday Siips provides a list of discounted wines by the glass and bottled beers. The wines are open wines that have been properly sealed and stored, as Siips believes in only serving those wines that are fresh. The list may include red, white, and sparkling wines.
Daytime Wine Specials Monday-Saturday 11:30 am 3 pm - $6.95 for a 6 oz pour
Early Evening Drink Specials Monday-Thursday 4 7 pm - $3.95 bottled beers, $5 for a 6 oz pour of house wine, and 30% off for a 3 oz or 6 oz pour of select other wines
Sunday Wine Specials Sunday only 11 am 9 pm 50% off for a 3 oz or 6 oz pour of selected special wines while supplies last.
Wine Dinners
Owner George Benford and Kitchen Manager Robyn Wetherhorn collaborate to host a wine dinner featuring a specific region or country of the world. It is comprised of three courses each with a 4 oz. wine pairing and generally costs between $30-$35, depending on market price and wine selection. Wine Dinners are typically held on the second Monday of the month, and seatings are available between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Reservations are required as space is limited. We hope to see you at the next one!
Retail Shop
Located just past the bar on the left, our Retail Wall displays red, white, and sparkling wines, as well as a few choice wine accessories. Wines which are not listed on our regular wine menu are available for in-house consumption for additional $10 corkage fee. Likewise, due to limited space, some wines listed in the wine menu are not displayed on the Retail Wall; however; these wines are available for retail purchase.
Live Entertainment
Siips hosts live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night starting at 9:00 pm, and we reserve the right to require all customers to be 21 years or older after this time. Generally, entrance is free; however, Siips may enact a cover charge for special events and for those who wish to not purchase food or beverage.

Wine prices, availability, and vintages often change. Since we cannot always change our extensive wine menu, our knowledgeable staff will attempt to alert you of all such changes wherever necessary.
